It is a boutique store designed to offer women with wavy, curly, coily, kinky, and otherwised textured hair, haircare products that are natural and/or vegan, cruelty free products by some of the best natural hair companies in the country. These companies have gained a wonderful reputation in the online curly community for providing excellence in cleansing, conditioning, moisture, and styling without having to use a lot of synthetic chemical compounds that the average consumer can not pronounce or understand.
The goal of ALL THINGS CURLY understands that a woman's hair is her crowning glory. Founded on Christian principles, ALL THINGS CURLY seeks to promote acceptance of ones beautiful God-given curls. We seek to promote products that work with one's texture and not against it.
About Tawanna Parnell
Although an Accountant by day, Tawanna has always loved things concerning hair. She's had pressed hair, relaxed hair, wigs, weaves, ponytails, cuts, and hair colors that went from tamed to bright and wild! During that time, she became what is now known as a "product junkie" flocking to stores for any and every product that promised exisquite dream hair that is always so elusive. In late 2007, Tawanna decided that she had done everything to her hair accept see it in its natural glory, and she made up her mind that this is what she was going to do. And if she was going to do it, she was going to learn how to take care of it and become an expert at her hair. Research led her to online curly communities, blogs, youtube videos, which then exposed her to natural hair products. The addiction to products had reared its ugly head "yet again".
After only four months of growing out her natural texture, Tawanna cut off her processed tresses and fell in love with very short, very curly, natural hair. Tawanna's hair floursihed under the nurture of products that did not contain mineral oil, petroleum, and other ingredients that she would need a chemistry degree to understand. People began to ask Tawanna what she was using, and Tawanna would often direct them to certain websites. Finally, after undergoing personal changes and deciding to reinvent herself, Tawanna decided to bring the products to the people instead of directing the people to the products. And in March 2011, ALL THINGS CURLY was born.
It is our hope and prayer, that you fall in love with your curly hair as Tawanna did hers and begin to nuture it with healthy products that will make your hair flourish. We hope to carry those products that will do so, and if we don't at present time, we will gladly direct you to where you can find them.
It is important to note that Tawanna is not a licensed cosmetologist. She does NOT style hair, and all product knowledge is by trial and error and research. Please use your best judgement in making product purchase decisions.
