I want to share with you a product "line" that I plan to add to the All Things Curly roster. In fact, it is my hope to debut this product at the National Natural Hair Day Meet up this coming Saturday! It is a product by Jeannell Darden of Atlanta called Coco Curls.
The reason I put the word line in parenthesis is because this "line" consists of one product! It's your all in one moisturizer and styler that gives you shine, definition, AND hold. It is a whipped texture and smells soooo good :). I can't wait for you guys to try it!
The packaging is quite cute as well. If you'll remember, I picked this up at the World Natural Hair Show and posted a picture of it.
Well, out of all of the products that I picked up, I tried the Coco Curls first. I found that it spread very easily, and even helped with detangling. A little does go a long way. And the directions say to use on wet or damp hair for a reason. So, the following pictures are my hair styled with Coco Curls. I had twisted on wet hair, let dry, and took it down the next morning.
Yes, my hair shrunk to the high heavens, but that is to be expected when styling on wet hair :). My hair was springy and bouncy, and I received a lot of compliments that day. And though you can't tell from the photos, I had mega shine going on! I honestly can't remember how many days this held up because I was just testing out products. But I have read online reports of up to 5-day hair! I'm going to have to use this again and try it for myself.
I have used it on dry hair (and am currently doing so), but you have to be careful. Shea Butter is the main ingredient in this product, and too much can get oily. Especially on dry hair.
So this is what I'm going to do. At the meet up, I will have samples with purchase of this product. As long as you make a purchase from ANY of the lines offered, I will include a sample of Coco Curls. Without the purchase of another product, the samples can be purchased for a nominal price.
All that being said, I hope you got your ticket! Once again, go to Eventbrite.com and purchase your ticket for only $5 plus the processing fee. I'll see you Saturday!
Stay Gorgeous!
