The Hair I've Always Wanted....

Hi Gorgeous!

I hope everyone has had a fantabulous weekend! While I had a great weekend filled with events, my hair had an awesome weekend! You know, I used to look at people's hair and think how great they had it that there hair looks like it does and can do what it does. Well, this weekend I realized that I could have that same kind of hair with a little bit of work! And I'm willing to bet that they put a little bit of work into their hair as well. So indulge me for a minute while I stand in my bathroom mirror in utter amazement that this miracle has occurred with my hair. The pics are a little raw with little make-up, jewelry, or even cute clothes. But I promise they're decent.

This came courtesy of a twist-out that I kept separating until I got the fullness I wanted without losing the definition. This is a neat little technique that I'm surprised I didn't realize before now! See, I typically do not care for twist-outs on my hair because of the various lengths and my hair looking stringy when I take it down. I prefer braid outs. But this just may work!

Oh, and be sure to use a hair product that is shea butter based for the best definition and prolonged moisture. Shea butter will not moisturize your hair, but it will seal in the moisture. Of course you know that All Things Curly carries just such a product. Email to make an appointment for your hair consultation/ product recommendation today! I love my hair, and I want to assist you in loving yours!

In other curly news.....
I'm still on the look out for great Labor Day Sales. But if I don't find one for Darcy's Botanicals and Bee Mine Products, how about we have one of our own next weekend? We'll call it a pre-Labor Day Sale. That way, you can already have your products and be looking fierce in time for your Labor Day festivities! Sound good? I'll make an announcement within the next couple of days. So if you want to keep up with the who, what, and when, put your email in the box to the right titled "What's happening in All Things Curly" to subscribe.

Until next time! Stay Gorgeous!

My Hair Inspirations

Hi Gorgeous!

These are some not naturals that have inspired me during my grow-out phase!

Kabrinam- Youtuber

Leelah James of course! Singer

Chavon

Chime- another Youtuber

I hope I don't sound like a complete stalker when I say, I LOVE THIS LITTLE GIRL. I will watch whatever movie or show that she is in. Isn't she just the cutest? This is Yara Shahidi. And I first saw her on Eddie Murphy's movie "Imagine That". Just adorable, and look at the hair!

So there it is! Following some of these people have kept me motivated when my hair was just an inch long. Also when I went through the awkward not long, but also not short phase. And even now, when I just don't feel pretty phase. Inspiration! It gets you through.....

Until next time, stay Gorgeous!

Who Do You Love?

Hi Gorgeous!

Hairveda

Do you know of a natural haircare line that you would love to be able to purchase locally? List your favorite product line suggestions in the comment section below for me to review and consider carrying at All Things Curly!

What am I loving on right now? Right now I am digging this product line called Hairveda. It uses ayurvedic herbs and oils (Indian) for soft, shiny hair. Of course they smell great (They have to in order for me to use them!). And as always, the price point is awesome. They range from $5-12 each. That's even lower than my beloved Darcy's Botanicals. If all goes well, this line just might make its debut in the store!

School's In Session!

And I had a blast talking hair and natural hair products with all of you that came out this weekend to the Back 2 School Bash, hosted by Lake Providence Missionary Baptist Church. Thank you for your interest and support! It was a wonderful event, and everyone really did a great job. The performances were good.....

.......... and the vendors were plenty! I even made a booth buddy!

Bridgett Ross of Bridgett's Bags and Accesories

Free school supplies and door prizes were given out. There were gospel rap artists. And of course there were lovely naturals that came to visit my booth.

I was truly inspired by these ladies and the others that I had the pleasure to meet. They are the reason I love to do this! As women, we all want to keep ourselves looking beautiful. As curly women, we bond over hair like nothing I've ever seen before. As the black shirt of the beautiful lady above says, I "Thank God I'm natural"!

More information will follow about the next Expo event All Things Curly will be a part of that will be in October. So stay tuned!

Also stay tuned for a possible Labor Day Sale!

Until next time! Stay Gorgeous!
