Hi Gorgeous!
Well, it's about to be summer time and most curlies like to take this time to wear their hair out in wash and go's and other loose "out" styles. But the humidity is a beast isn't it? I know for me, sometimes my attempts at wash and go's are unsuccessful because my hair starts to rise to the heavens due to the moisture in the air. What started out as curly tendrils becomes a frizzy fro.
That is, until I discovered "Gel". The curly girls best friend :-). But not just any gel. You know I have to stay true to my natural ingredients as best I can. That's why I want to tell you about 3 gel products by Darcy's Botanicals.
NEW Curling Cream Gel
HOW DOES THIS WORK?
Smooth a small amount throughout clean,
damp hair from root to ends. Works best using our Curl Styling Leave In Cream.
INGREDIENTS?
Distilled (Aqua) Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Glucoside, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Cetyl Alcohol, Organic Wildflower Honey, Camellia Oleifera Seed Oil, Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride (cationic guar gum), Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylyglycerin, Fragrance, Astrocaryum Mauritia Flexuosa Fruit (Buriti) Oil and Silk Amino Acids.
HOW DO I USE IT?
*Use to help set your curls, twists and braids in place.
*Use as a twisting cream for 2-strand twists.
*Use to moisturize and define your natural curl pattern.
8 oz. PET Bottle
Note from me:
Ok so..... If you are a loose- textured curly, this just might be the gel for you. Just put a leave-in conditioner on first, put this gel in, and you are good to go. BUT, if your hair is thicker and kinkier like mine, you might want to put this next product in first and then the above gel on top.The manufacturer suggests it. Reviews on this product suggests it. I suggest it. Trust me, I've tried it alone. It was an epic FAIL. Which brings me to the next product.

8 oz. PET jar
Note from me:
Don't let the liquid consistency scare you. You will need this in order to define your curls. Moisture is always needed for definition. But it can also contribute to shrinkage. So the key to combat that is 1) This product is a creamy consistency, and 2) the gel product mentioned above on top of this product. You should do just fine!
Natural Coils Curling Jelly

HOW DOES THIS WORK?
Our Natural Coils Curling Jelly works to enhance & define your natural coils and waves while also giving you hold, softness, and healthy conditioning.
WHAT'S IN IT?
Distilled Water, Organic Aloe Juice, Vegetable Glycerin, Organic Virgin Coconut, Organic Brown Rice Extract, Castor Oil, Xanthan Gum, Hydrolyzed Oat Protein, Potassium Sorbate, Fragrance, Citric Acid & Organic Sea Moss.
HOW DO I USE IT?
Fine Hair With Looser Curls & Waves (Types 2 & some 3's)
*Apply just a nickel to quarter size throughout damp/clean hair.
*Then use your fingers to style or rake the jelly throughout your hair and allow it to air dry.
*Then scrunch curls into place using your favorite leave-in or hair oil/butter for added softness.
Curly Coils & Waves (Type 3's)
* Use fingers to apply throughout small sections of clean/damp hair.
* TIP: Can also seal with a light oil or butter for added softness and to seal in moisture. Many of our customers also apply a light leave-in conditioner to damp hair BEFORE applying jelly:)
* Allow hair to air dry.
*Then scrunch scrunch curls into place or leave as is and style accordingly.
Tighter Curls & Coils (Type 4's)
*Use fingers to apply throughout small sections of clean/damp hair.
*Seal with a light oil or butter for added softness and to seal in moisture.
*Then 2 strand twist or braid each section.
* Allow hair to air dry.
* Take down twists or braids for superb definition.
NOTE: Many of our type 4's are getting the best definition from twist-outs and braid-outs.
The Natural Coils Curling Jelly can also be used to style twists, braids, and locs. It is an excellent gel for holding and re-twisting locs.
We have found that it works best when hair is clean & damp or lightly spritzed with water before applying.
However, it can also be used on clean dry hair as well:)
Remember when using natural products, a little truly goes a long way.

Note from me:
I KNOW! IT'S A LOT. A lot of information that is. But trust me, when you see how liquidity this product is, you will be glad to know how to use it. I'm excited about this product! I was just about to try this, but a customer purchased my last one. But don't worry, I'm getting more in. This can be your wash and go product AND you can use it for twist-outs and braid-outs with MEGA definition. Just make sure you let your hair dry all the way first, or you are defeating the purpose. I got a chance to see my customer after they had used this product so I know it's potential. And as soon as I get it back in, this will be added to my already overflowing cabinets!
Until next time! Stay Gorgeous!
