Happy Memorial Day weekend!

UPDATE:

So yeah. My style did not quite come out like my friend's down below, lol. In fact, that is a gross understatement! But hey, I tried!

I did change it up a bit. I tried to do a head band out of my hair with rosettes on the side. So it wasn't exactly the same hairstyle. I still think it was pretty cute. But the bun is so small!! I tried to make it bigger, but the head band (for the bun) I used kept sliding on back down my head. Oh well. I'll try again another time.

Until next time! Stay Gorgeous!

Hi Gorgeous!

I just wanted to take a moment to wish you a Happy Memorial Day weekend! The weather promises to be nice and sunny.....and HOT. Lol. Hope you can keep that hair fabulous :-). I will be doing mine this weekend with none other than.........................YOU GOT IT........Darcy's Botanicals! Its time for a deep conditioning, which i will do with the Pumpkin Seed Conditioner. Of course I will detangle with Vanilla Delight leave-in because it is just fabulous for that purpose. And then, with the Avocado and Wild Plum twisting cream, I think will try that cinnabun hair do I've been seeing lately. I hate to put my friend on blast, but her hair is on point. Maybe she won't be mad if I don't show her face right?

That is just the cutest! I hope mine turns out that good. And by the way, I did get her permission first ;-).

So as far as I know, I will be at home and shop all weekend. If you want to come by and check out the products, email me at allthingscurly@live.com. I check my email all the time.

On another note: I have been asked if I would come to home or group "hair and beauty parties" with the products I sell and talk about natural hair. That is a big "YES". So if that is something you are interest in, feel free to email me.

Until next time! Stay Gorgeous!

Hair Pics

So I was at a party this weekend, and the subject of hair came up. (Funny how that happens, right?) Someone made a suggestion that I should post some pics of some hairstyles I have done on my website. I'm not quite sure how I feel about my face splattered all over the page; but if it helps or inspires someone with there natural journey... here you go! I tried to keep the pics in order of progression of length. But some may be out of order. Most of the styles are "out" styles which are either twist-outs or braid outs. Most new naturals want to see this. As your hair gets longer, it becomes more important to preserve your ends thus keeping them off your shoulders and cloths by putting it up in up dos or protective styling. I have a couple of them below. And the last two pics are of me finally perfecting the "wash n go" hairstyle that I thought my hair could never do.

A note from me.....

You should always be able to trust that what you put in your hair will not be harmful to your body. I believe in being an informed consumer. Ingredients should never be kept a secret. So with that in mind, I hope you find that products such as these that contain natural ingredients have benefits that far outweigh the massed produced synthetic and chemical-laden products that you may find in most stores. But if you do purchase hair products from those stores, i implore you to please read the labels.

I want to thank you for making this a great first week of business for me! I've already sold many products including a Pumpkin Seed Conditioner (my favorite!) and an Avocado and Honey twisting Cream which are pictured above! I hope that you like them as much as I do! Until next time!

Stay Gorgeous!

Quick Note about Henna

Currently, I have a couple of bags of Henna to sell. I am a person who Henna as a conditioning/protein treatment. Some people like to Henna to naturally color their hair or cover their gray hair. (Henna is a by-product of a plant.) I am a big believer in ayurvedic herbs and treatments to aid in the health and growth of hair, and if you are too, I'd be happy to carry this full-time in the store. Just let me know! If you don't even know what Henna is, I would personally recommend that you take some time to research and find out. There are plenty of websited dedicated to this product.

But to briefly summarize, its a ground powder from a plant I can't think of off the top of my head that is great for conditioning and lightly coloring your hair. It coats the shaft of the hair thus making your hair smoother and appearing shinier. This coating is supposed to help in lessing the tangles of curly hair (because the cuticle is smooth). I really can't speak on that since I've been doing it for so long, i don't remember what my tangles were like before. For more information on this product, I'd be happy to talk more indepth about it with you. Just shoot me an email! And remember! Any product that you see and want to buy, go to the contact page and email me the date and time you want to visit the store. I'll be waiting!

Till next time, stay gorgeous!

IT'S HERE!

I am so please to officially announce that ALL THINGS CURLY is open for business! I mean, wow! This is the first step to a dream come true. And I hope that you will enjoy the products provided as much as I do, and as much as I enjoy providing them to you! This first brand, called DARCY'S BOTANICALS, is a brand I can truly get behind. I use them myself, and I love them. I could not think of a better brand of products to aid in the launch of ALL THINGS CURLY.

So COME AND GET IT! I used some of these products (which I had previously bought) this weekend, and was thrilled with the results. I shampoo'd my hair my own shampoo, but conditioned with the Pumpkin Seed conditoner mentioned in the previous post. Aww, how my hair loves that stuff. :-). Its like my curls whisper "thank you" in my ear and then proceed to curl to the fullest. I briefly detangled with the conditioner still in my hair and rinsed. I then applied the Vanilla delight leave-in conditioner which gives great slip for further detangling. And then, twisted with the Avocado and Honey Twisting Creme. This was my result once dried.

My hair was so soft and bouncy. Yet the definition was awesome. Usually you don't really get both softness and defintion together, but I did with this product. The hold was so good that I am currently wearing second day hair out of this hairstyle. Because who wants to do their hair everyday? I mean really? Who has time for that?

So I can't wait to try some of her other stuff. I know they will be good. Next time, I'll review the Madagscar Vanilla Styling Butter. So until next time, stay Gorgeous!
